Motorists should brace for another gastos hit as fuel prices are set to rise again on Tuesday, May 26. The latest adjustment covers gasoline, diesel and kerosene, making it a high-impact update for drivers, commuters, delivery riders and small businesses watching operating costs.

According to Zigwheels Philippines, the listed May 26 price adjustments are P1.96 per liter for gasoline, P1.60 per liter for diesel and P1.45 per liter for kerosene. The increase follows another fuel price hike that took effect on May 19.

Last week’s adjustment raised gasoline by P1.21 per liter, diesel by P2.82 per liter and kerosene by P2.21 per liter. That means motorists are facing back-to-back weekly increases, with pump prices likely to remain a hot consumer issue heading into the week.

The report also said the Department of Energy is working with oil companies to promote fuel discount programs for affected motorists. These include offers for public utility vehicle drivers, TNVS drivers, delivery riders and other customers, though the discounts vary by company and are not available everywhere.

As of May 25, Zigwheels cited DOE-listed offers from fuel companies including Caltex, Shell, Petron, Seaoil, PTT and Unioil. For drivers trying to stretch the budget, checking station-specific discount days and loyalty programs may matter more this week. Source: Zigwheels Philippines
