Andrea Brillantes Confirms New BF, Shuts Down “Boy Crazy” Talk

Andrea Brillantes has confirmed that she is in a relationship with athlete and internet personality Pankie Capistrano, but the actress made it clear that she wants people to see the romance as normal, not as another round of showbiz drama.

In an interview with Karen Davila, Brillantes acknowledged the relationship after photos of her and Capistrano were shown onscreen. She said there was nothing especially new about it for her, except that her non-showbiz boyfriend is still adjusting to being mentioned in articles and watched by the public.

The actress also pushed back against the label that she is “boy crazy.” Brillantes said there is more to life than boys and relationships, noting that after her breakup with Ricci Rivero, she went nearly two years without having a boyfriend despite being linked to different men.

Brillantes explained that she did try dating at one point, but none of those connections became serious. She said she spent a full year single and not talking to anyone romantically, adding that many of the names linked to her were people she was not even pursuing.
