Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos has finally spoken up about the messy controversy involving her former driver and personal assistant, Bonifacio Baro, who accused her, Michelle Dee, and Samantha Panlilio of torture and illegal detention. The drama stems from Baro allegedly stealing an ang pao from Michelle that reportedly contained “sensitive images.”
The scandal has spiraled into a social media firestorm. Netizens have speculated about the contents of the ang pao, with some linking it to a blind item posted years ago by Xian Gaza about an alleged “threesome.” Michelle’s camp has denied the allegations, filing a qualified theft complaint against Baro in January and refiling it in February. Michelle also hit Xian Gaza with a cyber libel complaint, though the self-confessed “Pambansang Marites” hasn’t backed down.
In an interview with GMA entertainment reporter Aubrey Carampel, Rhian admitted the issue has taken a toll on her. “I can say yes, in a way, it’s stressful. I’m also quite confident that the truth will ano naman, will set us free,” the actress said, visibly affected but composed.
Rhian added that she can’t discuss the details further due to the possibility of legal action. Meanwhile, Baro has also dragged Rhian’s personal life into the spotlight, claiming she had a romantic relationship with vlogger Wil Dasovich after her breakup with businessman Sam Verzosa. Sam quickly clarified he has nothing to do with the issue.
