Second Alarm in Pasay Puts F.B. Harrison Area on Alert
A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon along David Street in Village 23, F.B. Harrison, Pasay City, and quickly reached second alarm, according to The Manila Times. The Bureau of Fire Protection in the National Capital Region said the blaze had escalated by 4:23 p.m. while firefighters were still working to contain it.
Authorities had not yet identified the cause of the fire at the time of the report, and there was still no official word on the full extent of the damage. With the situation still active, BFP-Pasay urged the public to stay away from the area and wait for verified advisories instead of crowding the scene.
The warning matters because fires in dense urban neighborhoods can spread fast, especially where access is tight and responders need room to move. Kaya clear ang message ng authorities: avoid the area, do not obstruct responders, and let emergency crews do their work.
The BFP also used the incident to remind residents about basic fire prevention. These include avoiding illegal electrical connections, not overloading outlets and extension cords, unplugging appliances when they are not in use, and checking wiring and electrical equipment regularly.
For now, the story remains a developing one. What is confirmed is the location, the second-alarm status, and the call for public caution as crews continue battling the blaze in Pasay.
