SB19’s Japan Push Gets Louder With Summer Sonic Slot
SB19 is adding another major international stop to its calendar after confirming that the group will perform at Japan's Summer Sonic 2026 this August. The announcement came through a video released by Sony Music Japan, where the P-pop act greeted Japanese fans and officially confirmed its appearance at one of Asia's biggest music festivals.
In the clip, the group told fans that their visa had been approved and said they were excited to bring Filipino music to the Summer Sonic stage. The update lands just after SB19 also announced a Lollapalooza appearance, showing that the group is keeping its global momentum going instead of slowing down. Malinaw na tuloy-tuloy ang international push nila this year.
SB19 also echoed the announcement on social media, teasing fans with the next destination and hyping up their August performance in Japan. For A'TIN, the latest booking is another sign that the group is not just touring abroad but getting slots in high-visibility festivals that can introduce them to wider audiences beyond the core fandom.
The report said these back-to-back festival appearances come as SB19 continues to expand its footprint overseas following its world tour and recent releases. Their latest single, 'Visa,' is part of that rollout, and the group is also preparing to drop its second full-length album, 'Wakas at Simula,' on March 27.
After that album release, the group is scheduled to hold 'Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale' on April 18 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City. With a big local concert ahead and another massive Japan festival now locked in, SB19's 2026 game plan looks packed, ambitious, and very global.
