Four of Philippine showbiz's biggest leading ladies are joining forces in a cross-network collaboration that has fans buzzing. GMA's Sanya Lopez teams up with ABS-CBN stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Jane Oineza, and Loisa Andalio for the upcoming film Midnight Girls, directed by Irene Villamor.

Director Irene — the same filmmaker behind the box-office hit The Loved One starring Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales — shared the first look of the film on Instagram, featuring the four actresses posing under cherry blossoms in Japan. The movie follows four Filipina entertainers chasing the same dream in Nagoya.

In a fun behind-the-scenes clip, the stars were seen rehearsing the iconic SexBomb Girls hit "Bakit Papa" with none other than Joy Cancio, the original choreographer of the legendary group. "It's really my honor to make these ladies. I'm so blessed," Joy shared.

Jodi joked that she never expected to be doing dance numbers at this point in her career. "Just when I thought na naabot mo na yung pinnacle ng iyong career, meron pa pala," she laughed. Meanwhile, Sanya called it an honor to be trained by Joy, and Loisa admitted she's always idolized SexBomb.

Midnight Girls is set to hit theaters in May 2026 — and given the star power and the creative team behind it, this is shaping up to be one of the must-watch Pinoy films of the summer season.
