After weeks of silence, Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos has finally broken her silence on the explosive controversy involving her former driver, Bonifacio Tibayan Baro. In her first interview about the issue, aired on GMA-7's 24 Oras last Friday, Rhian admitted that the ordeal has been "stressful" — pero kalmado pa rin siya.

Rhian, along with friends Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio, has been implicated in allegations of torture and serious illegal detention filed by her former driver. The case has become one of the most talked-about showbiz-legal controversies of 2026, with NAPOLCOM even weighing in, saying they're "not convinced" by the driver's assault claims against Makati police officers involved in the incident.

"Well, honestly, siyempre sino ba naman matutuwa? And I can say, yes, it's, in a way, stressful," Rhian told 24 Oras reporter Aubrey Carampel. "Pero I'm also quite confident na the truth will set us free." It was a measured response from an actress known for keeping her private life out of the spotlight.

When pressed for more details, Rhian declined — citing the ongoing legal proceedings. "I just can't give so much details about everything because we might be waiting for a possible case or whatever, so can't give too many details," she explained. She promised to speak in full at the right time, but for now, she's playing it smart.

What's notable is Rhian's refusal to go on the defensive. "A lot of people are asking me to defend myself. More important thing right now is not to defend myself because I don't need to," she said. It's a confident stance from someone who clearly believes the facts are on her side. The court of public opinion is split, but Rhian seems content to let the legal process — and the truth — do the talking.
