It was a night of five-set drama at the Filoil Centre in San Juan as both Choco Mucho and Capital1 survived heart-stopping PVL All-Filipino Conference matches — proving once again why Philippine volleyball is absolutely appointment viewing right now.

The Flying Titans outlasted Galeries Tower, 26-24, 20-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-12, in a two-hour, 10-minute battle. The dynamic duo of Eya Laure and Sisi Rondina paced Choco Mucho with 18 points each, with Rondina adding a complete performance of 13 digs and 11 receptions. Deanna Wong orchestrated the offense with 11 excellent sets as the team improved to 2-3.

In the other match, Capital1 edged Farm Fresh in an even longer affair — 26-24, 20-25, 28-26, 20-25, 15-11 — clocking in at two hours and 28 minutes. Bella Belen was the star with 23 points plus 12 digs and 19 receptions, while Syd Niegos added 20 points. That third set alone, won 28-26, probably took years off the coaches' lives.

Farm Fresh's Trisha Tubu was absolutely brilliant in a losing cause, exploding for 30 points on 25 attacks and five blocks. Ces Molina added 21 points, pero it wasn't enough as the Foxies dropped to 2-3. It's the kind of performance that deserves a win — but the Solar Spikers had other ideas.

Both matches showcase the incredible depth of talent in the PVL this season. With teams this evenly matched, every conference day is producing nail-biters. Capital1 evened its record at 3-3 while Galeries dropped to 2-3. The All-Filipino Conference is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in league history.
