Filipino billiards legend Carlo Biado just added another crown to his already stacked collection — he's now the 2026 US Open One-Pocket Champion after dominating fellow Pinoy Roland Garcia in the finals, 5-1, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What makes this win even more impressive? It came after a grueling 10-hour marathon session. Biado actually lost to Garcia in the semis, 3-4, in a five-hour nail-biter. But the 'Black Tiger' wasn't done — he battled back through the loser's bracket, sweeping Tony 'T-Rex' Chohan 3-0 to earn a rematch.

"Sa wakas! After 10 hours straight," Biado posted on Facebook after the win. The exhaustion was real, pero yung trophy mas real pa. He also announced he'll take a break before heading to several more tournaments, including one alongside fellow Filipina cue artist Rubilen Amit.

Garcia, gracious in defeat, congratulated Biado and expressed satisfaction with his own runner-up finish. "He played really solid in the finals," Garcia wrote, adding he just needs to work on a few more things in his game. Next up for Biado is the 2026 Bank Pool Masters Showdown in St. Louis, Missouri next month.

The championship also boosted Biado's World Pool Association ranking to No. 3 worldwide — a huge jump from his previous 9th-place spot. Austria's Albin Ouschan and Poland's Wojciech Szewczyk hold the top two spots, but with Biado in this kind of form, that podium is looking very reachable.
