PBB's Krystal Mejes Wants to Donate Part of Her ₱500K Prize to Help Senior Citizens
Fresh out of the Pinoy Big Brother house and already thinking about giving back — that's Krystal Mejes for you. The Kapamilya star, who was named Second Big Placer on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0," revealed she plans to donate a portion of her ₱500,000 cash prize to charity.
"Gusto ko po siyang ibigay sa charity to help the ones na nangangailangan po. And then to my family and savings for my younger brother," Krystal told GMA News Online. While she hasn't finalized which organization to support, she said her heart is "gravitating towards the elderly people."
Inside Kuya's house, Krystal went through an emotional rollercoaster. She named fellow housemate Carmelle Collado as the first person who saw her most vulnerable side. "I just feel very safe with her. She accepted me for being that way," Krystal shared, clearly moved by the bond they formed.
Now stepping into the spotlight outside the PBB house, Krystal admitted the scale of public support has been both overwhelming and humbling. "Mas na-realize ko na I love my fans so much. I will do everything and anything to not lose them," she said, adding that the experience taught her to stay grounded.
Krystal shared the Second Big Placer title with Kapuso actor Heath Jornales, who has his own plans for his share — he wants to upgrade his family's car. Both housemates are proof that PBB still knows how to produce stars with heart.
