OPM Takes Over Japan: SB19, BGYO, and Cup of Joe to Perform at D.U.N.K. Showcase in Yokohama
Three of the Philippines’ biggest music acts are heading to Japan next month to fly the OPM flag at one of Asia’s hottest live showcases. SB19, BGYO, and Cup of Joe have all been confirmed for the D.U.N.K. (Dance Universe Never Killed) Showcase at K-Arena Yokohama, running from March 13 to 15, 2026.
Cup of Joe kicks things off on Day 1 (March 13), performing alongside Japanese acts like INI, Da Pump, Sky-Hi, and s**t kingz. BGYO takes the stage on Day 2 (March 14) with Ayumu Imazu, Mazzel, One N’ Only, and ShowMinorSavage. Then SB19 closes out the festival on Day 3 (March 15), sharing the bill with Be:First, Da-Ice, Starglow, and Endrecheri.
The Pinoy acts were hyped about the announcement. BGYO posted on social media: “We’re beyond thrilled to announce that we’ll be performing at the D.U.N.K. Showcase at K-Arena Yokohama on March 14, 2026. See you there!” Cup of Joe vocalist Gian Bernardino was equally stoked, writing on X: “We’re going to Japaaaan!!! OPM representtt.”
The D.U.N.K. Showcase is more than just a concert — it’s preceded by a TV series of the same name that documents interactions between performers from different talent agencies, building up the collaborative spirit ahead of the live performances. It’s a unique blend of variety content, interviews, and behind-the-scenes access.
For Filipino fans, this is a proud moment. Having three OPM acts performing across all three days of a major international showcase in Japan shows just how far Philippine music has come on the global stage. SB19, BGYO, and Cup of Joe are about to show Yokohama what Pinoy talent is all about.
