Filipino-American pop star Olivia Rodrigo has locked in June 12 as the release date for her third album, giving Philippine fans an extra reason to notice the drop. Sakto sa Independence Day, so naturally Pinoy fans are already treating the announcement like a mini moment.

Philstar.com reported that Rodrigo shared the news on Instagram, revealing that the new record is titled “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.” She said she is proud of the album and told fans that preorder options are already available.

In her newsletter, Olivia also gave a hint about the mood of the project. She said that even when she tries to write love songs, they still end up carrying a little sadness, suggesting the album will lean into romance with a melancholic edge instead of going full cheesy.

The singer has a strong connection with Filipino audiences. She brought her Guts World Tour to the Philippines in 2024, which marked her first concert in her home country and gave local fans a major live moment they had waited for. Kaya mabilis ang hype ngayon sa bagong album.

Rodrigo first exploded globally in 2021 through her debut album “Sour” and the breakout hit “Drivers License,” and she has stayed one of pop’s biggest young names since then. With album number three now officially dated, expect the countdown to get even louder in the weeks ahead.
