Hindi lang ito simpleng fan flex. The poll matters because candidates who land in the top placements get competition advantages. The second most-voted delegate advances to the Top 15, while the People’s Choice winner earns an automatic berth in the final round.

It also keeps diaspora-backed candidates very much in play, with several delegates representing Filipino communities abroad.
