Mavy Legaspi became an unexpected trending topic after the PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 finale — but not for his hosting skills. Short clips of the actor-host appearing to struggle with his delivery during a livestream segment went viral, with netizens poking fun at his unusual rhythm and pacing.

Comments ranged from playful to harsh. 'MAVY LEGASPI anyare sa yo? Kaya pa bro?' wrote one netizen. Others compared his delivery to that of game announcers, while another viewer joked: 'Lasing ata si Mavy Legaspi hahahaha.' Some comments were so hurtful that one fan posted: 'Wag na muna mag-Twitter si Mavy Legaspi. The netizens are not having it.'

Mavy quickly took to Instagram to explain what happened. According to him, a microphone delay caused the issues: 'We experienced the worst microphone delay and could literally hear our voices echo in the venue which made it difficult to talk.' He apologized to viewers for sounding slow during the YouTube and Facebook live sessions.

In a move that endeared him to many, Mavy later acknowledged the viral clips with humor: 'OMG cringe nga! Anyway, thank you for supporting PBB Collab 2.0. It was a very successful night. Congrats Caprice & Lella! Love you all!' Following his explanation, many viewers expressed understanding about the challenges of live broadcasts.

The incident highlighted a reality of live TV that many viewers don't consider — technical difficulties behind the scenes can make even experienced hosts look awkward. For Mavy, the moment became a lesson in handling online criticism with grace.
