Kilig Alert: Joaquin Arce Reacts to Being Shipped with Lella Ford After PBB — 'She's Someone Special'

PBB may be over, but the shipping never stops. Kapamilya actor Joaquin Arce finally opened up about the massive fan support for his pairing with Lella Ford following their stint in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0. Spoiler: he's just as surprised as everyone that the ship sailed this hard.

In an appearance on GMA's Unang Hirit on Wednesday, Joaquin — who emerged as the 3rd Big Placer alongside Ashley Sarmiento — said he genuinely didn't expect the love team hype. "Hindi ko talaga inasahan kasi sa loob ng bahay, magkaibigan talaga kami," he shared. Inside the Bahay Ni Kuya, he and Lella built what he describes as a real friendship.

But he's not shutting the door either. "She's someone special to me," Joaquin admitted, before adding that he's genuinely grateful for the overwhelming fan support. "Hindi ko inasahan na ganito kalakas 'yung support sa aming dalawa, and I'm really grateful for it." So it's not a no, it's not a yes — classic PBB love team energy.

For context, PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 was the crossover season featuring 20 Gen Z celebrities from both Sparkle (GMA) and Star Magic (ABS-CBN). Lella Ford was declared Kapamilya Big Winner while Caprice Cayetano took the Kapuso Big Winner title during the Big Night last February 28. The season generated massive love teams including CarTon and CapEath, but JoaQuin and Lella clearly captured fans' hearts.

Whether or not "JoaLella" (or whatever ship name fans come up with) becomes a real thing, it's clear that both young stars left the PBB house with something more valuable than a title — genuine friendship, massive fanbases, and maybe, just maybe, something more. Stay tuned, mga marites!
