Singer Jamie Rivera pushed back against the idea that LGBTQ people are destined for hell, saying she does not agree with that kind of judgment. Her remarks came after she was asked about the issue in relation to recent online controversy over anti-LGBTQ comments from Alvin Aragon.

According to the report, Rivera discussed the topic during a guest appearance on 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.' She said she could not agree with blanket condemnation because she personally values and respects LGBTQ people, especially those who were part of her early journey in showbiz.

Rivera recalled that makeup artist Boy Navarrete helped her for free in her humble beginnings, while Arnold Galang provided costumes. She also mentioned Boy Abunda as her publicist at the time, highlighting how members of the LGBTQ community supported her career before she had the means to fully pay back that kindness.

For Rivera, that lived experience shaped how she sees the community. She said there is no reason to judge people who have been kind, supportive, and protective, noting that her LGBTQ friends and road managers played an important role in helping and guiding her through the years.

Her takeaway was simple and direct: people who show genuine care and compassion deserve appreciation, not attacks. Instead of echoing harsh rhetoric, Rivera chose to speak from gratitude — medyo firm, but rooted in personal experience.
