Metro Manila commuters may want to plan ahead, dahil may long pause sa rail operations during Holy Week. Rappler reported that the major urban rail lines will temporarily stop running to make way for annual maintenance and system upgrades.

LRT-1 will suspend trips from April 2, Maundy Thursday, until April 5, Easter Sunday. Operator Light Rail Manila Corporation said the shutdown will be used for maintenance checks and critical upgrades aimed at keeping service safe and reliable for passengers.

LRT-2 will follow the same Holy Week timetable. Its operations will also be halted from April 2 to April 5, with regular service set to resume at 5 a.m. on Monday, April 6.

MRT-3 is also joining the four-day break. The line will be unavailable from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, then return to normal operations on April 6, the same day the other rail systems reopen.

For workers, students, and travelers na may lakad that week, the key takeaway is simple: no regular train service across the three lines during the Holy Week maintenance window. Source: Rappler
