Globe said its fiber subscriber base grew by 43 percent in 2025, reaching 2.1 million from 1.7 million a year earlier, as the company doubled down on home broadband and enterprise connectivity. President and CEO Carl Cruz said the expansion reflects Globe's broader role in helping power the Philippine digital economy.

The company said fiber now accounts for 91 percent of its total home broadband revenues, showing how strongly customers have shifted toward fixed, higher-capacity internet service. Globe also said its more affordable GFiber Prepaid offer reached over 820,000 subscribers by the end of the year.

Cruz said stronger fiber access helps students use online learning platforms, supports businesses running cloud and IT systems, and gives remote workers more dependable connections across cities and regions. In short, Globe is positioning fiber not just as a consumer product but as infrastructure for work, study, and business growth.

Instead of going into a pure price war, the company said it wants to compete through network quality and customer experience. Globe added that its enterprise business is also gaining traction, with companies adopting cloud platforms, AI tools, automation, and cybersecurity services through Globe Business.

The telco reported corporate data revenues of P20.7 billion and overall service revenues of P165.1 billion in 2025. For Globe, malinaw ang direction: keep mobile strong, but build a bigger fiber backbone that can handle rising demand from streaming, cloud services, and AI-heavy applications across the country.
