Comeback Queens! Farm Fresh Foxies Snap Losing Streak With Five-Set Thriller Over Choco Mucho
The Farm Fresh Foxies proved they're far from done in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference, snapping a two-game slump with a dramatic five-set victory over the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 21-25, 25-22, 16-25, 25-18, 15-9, at the Filoil Centre in San Juan City on Tuesday night. The win improved the Foxies' record to 3-4 and kept their semifinal hopes alive.
It was a team effort for Farm Fresh, with Trisha Tubu leading the charge with a game-high 22 points. Ces Molina added 17 markers while Royse Tubino contributed 14 crucial points, sparking the decisive Set 5 breakaway that left Choco Mucho scrambling. The Foxies showed serious heart — falling behind in the first and third sets before roaring back when it mattered most.
The fifth set was where Farm Fresh really showed their grit. After a tight 4-all deadlock, the Foxies uncorked a devastating 5-1 run to build a 9-5 cushion. Choco Mucho's Sisi Rondina tried to spark a rally with a powerful kill from the left side, but the Flying Titans simply couldn't contain the Foxies' firepower. Molina, Tubino, and Tubu combined for a 4-1 blast, capped by Tubu's back-to-back blocks on Rondina for a commanding 13-6 lead.
On the losing end, Kat Tolentino and Rondina each tallied 22 points for Choco Mucho, while Eya Laure chipped in 15. Despite the firepower, the Flying Titans dropped to 3-4 and now face an uphill battle in the standings. A miscommunication in the dying moments sealed their fate as Farm Fresh closed it out with Tubu swinging from the right side for the kill.
In the earlier match, PLDT continued their dominant run by sweeping Galeries Tower, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17, to seize solo top spot with a 6-1 record. Savi Davison was unstoppable with 21 points and seven receptions. The High Speed Hitters are now on the verge of clinching a qualifying round berth — bad news for everyone else in the conference.
