BTS Jin's Apple Gin Brand IGIN Is About to Hit Philippine Supermarket Shelves — ARMYs, Ready Your Grocery Carts
Filipino ARMYs, it's time to update your grocery list. BTS member Jin's apple gin brand, IGIN, is set to hit supermarket shelves across the Philippines in the coming weeks. Yes, you can now buy Jin's gin right next to your Ginebra San Miguel — what a time to be alive.
IGIN, which launched in December 2024, is a collaboration between Jin and celebrity Korean chef Baek Jong-won. The premium gin is made with high-quality rice and Yesan apples from South Korea's Chungcheongnam-do province. Two variants will be available locally: the Apple Gin and the Apple Tonic.
Participating supermarkets include Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Easymart, The Marketplace, and Shopwise — so whether you're in Metro Manila or the provinces, may chance ka makabili. The brand has been expanding globally and the Philippines, with its massive BTS fanbase, was a natural next stop.
Jin has been personally involved in promoting IGIN, even sending personalized bottles as gifts to notable figures like Brazil's First Lady Janja Lula da Silva. It's a far cry from the typical celebrity endorsement — this is Jin's own business venture, and he's clearly all in.
For context, the Philippines is one of the biggest gin-consuming nations in the world, so IGIN is entering a market that knows its spirits. Whether ARMYs will buy it for the taste or for the photocard-worthy bottle is another question entirely — pero either way, expect those shelves to be cleared real quick.
