SB19 is stepping into a new phase with more confidence and a wider global reach as the group prepares to release its full-length album, Wakas at Simula, on March 27. The project signals both an ending and a reset, kumbaga closing one chapter while opening a bigger one.
According to the group’s statement, the album reflects how far they have come since their early days of proving themselves, building an identity, and earning public trust. SB19 said they now want to express themselves more openly, explore deeper and more relatable themes, and move forward with more clarity and creative freedom.
The release also connects their earlier EP trilogy—Pagsibol, Pagtatag, and Simula at Wakas—while adding six new tracks that push their sound further. The group said some songs from the 2021 Pagsibol era were revisited with more maturity, giving the lyrics and performances heavier emotional weight this time around.
A major headline from the album is its international collaborations, with C-pop star JOLIN joining the track Emoji and Japanese group BE:FIRST appearing on the dance-pop song Toyfriend. Member Stell said these partnerships did not just expand their music, but also helped their self-run team and agency learn from global practices as they keep growing on the world stage.
