Anne Curtis had a terrifying mid-flight experience on Saturday when her plane from Milan to Dubai was forced to turn around due to the ongoing Middle East conflict. The Kapamilya actress, fresh from a Gucci fashion event in Italy, was headed to Dubai to reunite with husband Erwan Heussaff and daughter Dahlia.

On her Instagram story, Anne shared a video showing what appeared to be a high-speed military jet flying alongside their commercial aircraft. Then another jet appeared — and shortly after, the captain announced they would be turning back to Milan because of airstrikes in the region.

'All flights to the Middle East have been grounded,' Anne wrote on her Instagram story. The diversion left the It's Showtime host stranded in Milan, thousands of kilometers away from her family who are currently in Dubai.

Despite her own situation, Anne's first thoughts were for others. She posted that she prayed for all the families in Dubai and her 'kababayans,' hoping everyone was safe and that things would soon ease. She also shared a video from Erwan showing their daughter Dahlia peacefully watching fish in an aquarium, captioning it: 'Stay safe my little one.'

Anne is one of the Philippines' most internationally connected celebrities, frequently attending major fashion events in Europe and building relationships with luxury brands. Her experience puts a personal, relatable face on the chaos that the Middle East conflict has unleashed on global air travel — affecting not just OFWs but anyone with loved ones in the region.
