Angel Locsin went off on X after netizens branded her stepson Joaquin Arce — one of the PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0 Ultimate 8 — a "nepo baby." The actress didn't mince words: "Ano namang kasalanan ni Joaquin at naging asawa ko ang dad niya para ma-brand siya as nepo baby?" She reminded everyone of her own humble beginnings, riding jeeps and buses to tapings back in the day.

Angel pointed out that Joaquin could have easily asked her to pull strings for a showbiz project — but he didn't. Instead, he chose to audition for PBB on his own to prove himself. "He wanted to make a name for himself," Angel said, clearly proud of her stepson's decision to take the harder path rather than coast on family connections.

Joaquin himself addressed the label during PBB's "Tapatan" challenge. When asked about being called a nepo baby, he gave a surprisingly mature response: "Everything that I want to achieve in this industry as an actor, gusto ko na deserve ko siya." He also said working alongside Angel someday would be a "prize" — but one he'd have to earn by becoming good enough.

Angel's rant ended with a signature mic drop: "'Wag bitter. Nakakapanget 'yan." She also jokingly threatened to increase her ₱12,000 worth of votes for Joaquin just to annoy the haters. Classic Angel — direct, no-nonsense, and always ready to fight for family.

Tonight is PBB's Big Night, and Joaquin is one of eight housemates competing for the title. Whether he wins or not, he's already proven something: having a famous stepmom doesn't mean you can't earn your own spotlight. And if the bashers keep coming? They now know Angel Locsin has receipts — and she's not afraid to use them.
