Filipino tennis pride Alex Eala just keeps winning — and cashing in. The 20-year-old Filipina is now guaranteed at least $105,720, roughly P6.3 million, after storming into the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, one of the biggest tournaments outside the Grand Slams.

Eala advanced to the round of 16 after getting a walkover victory against none other than American star Coco Gauff in their third-round clash. Eala was already dominating the match at 6-2, 2-0 when Gauff was forced to retire. That's right — Eala was running away with it against a former US Open champion.

Next up for Eala is Czech player Linda Noskova, currently ranked world No. 14, in a fourth-round match expected to take place on Wednesday. If Eala can pull off another upset, she'll secure a payday of $193,645 — that's approximately P11.5 million. Hindi biro 'yun.

Eala's Indian Wells run is further proof that she belongs on the biggest stages in world tennis. From her junior Grand Slam titles to her rapid ascent in the WTA rankings, the Filipina has been on a tear that shows no signs of slowing down. Every match she wins puts Philippine tennis deeper on the global map.

Win or lose against Noskova, Eala has already made this a tournament to remember. But knowing her competitive fire, she's not done yet. Let's go, Alex! 🇵🇭🎾
