The internet is shipping them and Chanty had absolutely no idea. The Lapillus K-Pop idol — who's currently competing on 'Stars On The Floor Season 2' — was completely blindsided when she found out that netizens on TikTok and X (Twitter) have been pairing her with none other than Pambansang Bae Alden Richards after photos and videos of them together went viral.

"Ay, grabe!" was Chanty's reaction, covering her face in what can only be described as peak kilig-meets-hiya. "Nakakagulat po, kasi hindi ko talaga ini-expect! Hindi po ako masyado nagsu-social media, eh!" she told reporters while taking a break from rehearsals for the dance competition show.

The buzz started after eagle-eyed fans noticed Alden seemingly giving Chanty intense looks during what appeared to be a taping or event. Screenshots and clips flooded social media, with AldenTy (yes, they already have a ship name) trending among fans who are convinced there's something brewing between the GMA leading man and the Filipino-Japanese K-Pop star.

To be fair, it's not hard to see why people would ship them. Chanty is a trained K-Pop performer — singer, dancer, the whole package — and she's been standing out among her 'Stars On The Floor' co-contestants, including Rocco Nacino, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Paul Salas, and several P-Pop idols. With Marian Rivera and Rayver Cruz on the judging panel, the competition is no joke — and Chanty admits every episode gets progressively harder.

Whether the Alden-Chanty pairing is real or purely fan-made fiction, one thing's for sure: it's the most entertaining non-ICC story on Filipino social media right now. With 'Stars On The Floor' still airing, expect more content — and more kilig moments — to keep the ship sailing. Abangan!
