Aiai Delas Alas Sets the Record Straight on Viral 'Proposal' Video: 'Prank Lang 'Yon, Tapusin Niyo Muna!'

Nag-viral ang isang video ni Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas na parang nag-propose sa kanya ang isang lalaki sa restaurant — and naturally, the internet lost its collective mind. Friends called, Zumba classmates panicked, and close friends started asking, "Ano ba 'to?!"

But Aiai wants everyone to calm down and finish watching the video before jumping to conclusions. In a follow-up Facebook reel posted on March 4, she clarified the whole thing was a prank — complete with a disclaimer at the end reading "This video is for entertainment purposes only." Apparently, not everyone made it that far.

Here's what actually happened: While having dinner with actress Ynez Veneracion, a man at the next table pulled off a grand proposal for his partner — complete with a massive tarpaulin setup. The two actresses looked at each other, and Aiai admitted she felt a pang of envy. "Parang nainggit ako kay ate," she said. So she called the guy over and asked him to pretend to propose to her too. Everyone at the table burst out laughing.

Aiai revealed she didn't even know the man's name — she only found out from the comments section that his name was Alvin. "Gusto ko lang din makaranas ng malaking diamond sa kamay ko," she joked, before getting serious about the judgment she keeps getting about her love life. "Hangga't nakikita niyo na nagha-Hyrox ako, nagg-gym, ibig sabihin single ako," she reminded her followers.

The comedienne, who has been open about her separation from third husband Gerald Sibayan — 30 years her junior — ended the video with a message for everyone: "Wag masyadong mang-judge!" And yes, she's doing just fine, thank you very much. "Kahit strong 'to, may pagka-brainy din naman ako minsan."
