Malaking investment ang paparating! President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. just announced that a US-based medical glove manufacturer is pouring a whopping $200 million into the Philippines to build a brand-new manufacturing facility right here sa bansa.

The President dropped the news during a media interview in New York City on Tuesday, revealing that US Medical Glove Company (USMGC) has already sent representatives to the Philippines to start preparations. "The prospective amount is $200 million in the beginning," Marcos told reporters before flying back to Manila.

And it's not just talk — Marcos confirmed that USMGC has already started building their first plant and is even looking to expand further. They've already found a local partner to work with, which means this project is moving fast.

The investment is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs and will allow the Philippines to locally produce essential medical supplies. This is a big deal for the country's healthcare supply chain, especially after the pandemic exposed just how dependent we are on imported medical equipment.

Marcos met with USMGC officials on the sidelines of his United Nations engagements in New York City. USMGC is a leading American manufacturer of nitrile and polyisoprene surgical and exam gloves — so expect world-class medical gloves to be made in PH soon.
