The 19-year-old said in an interview with GMA News’ Chika Minute that her recent Instagram posts, where she was wearing bikini and sexy clothes, was not meant to just show off her fine figure and assets.

Bianca said social media is a good tool to inspire women to be confident of their body.

“Be confident of who you are and maraming magja-judge sa ‘yo, maraming opinionated na tao. But as long as you’re happy, then do what makes your heart happy,” she said.

Mayor Isko joins Bubble Gang’s ‘Scavengers’

The 24th Anniversary Special of GMA’s “Bubble Gang” will feature a two-episode parody of Marvel’s “The Avengers”. The longest-running gag show in the country will air on November 15 and 22 with the tele-movie “Scavengers, Assemble”.

The team of “Scavengers”, a crew of interstellar garbage collectors, will feature Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who was a real-life scavenger before he became an actor and politician.

Mayor Isko is now the talk of the town for personally leading city government operations to cleanse Manila of garbage both in the city hall and on the streets. He grew up in the slum area of Tondo.

Group asks govt to stop pork importation as another way to prevent ASF spread

Local agribusiness firms appealed to the government to stop the importation of pork products as another measure to contain the spread of African swine fever (ASF), especially at this time when only less than 1 percent of the hog industry has been affected by the disease.

The Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (Sinag) said Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar should suspend the issuance of SPS (sanitary and phytosanitary clearances) for pork importation and cancel all import permits and clearances currently under process.

The group stressed that it is imported pork which brought the ASF to the country.

Sinag also asked the public, the local government units (LGUs) and other stakeholders to be proactive and contribute in stopping the spread of the ASF to save the country’s hog industry.

In a statement, Sinag Chairman Rosendo So said: “We ask all pertinent agencies to increase our border control and fully implement the quarantine policy. We ask our partners at the LGUs to remain vigilant against imported frozen meat being sold at the wet markets because the source of African swine fever is tainted, imported pork.”

So said stopping the entry of imported pork should be made an important component of the drive to prevent further ASF contamination in other areas of the country, now that the Department of Agriculture (DA) already declared that the disease had been controlled and contained in just a few areas, particularly Rizal and Bulacan. The ASF contamination in Quezon City that was reported by Mayor Joy Belmonte is still being verified by the DA through laboratory testing.

He added: “We ask the public to continue to patronize our local pork that remains safe, clean and wholesome. Our Pinoy pork is safe to eat.”

So also appealed to the DA to pay hog raisers P5,000 per head of culled pigs.

So, in an interview with GMA News, said the effect of ASF to the hog industry is still very minimal. “So far we reported 7,600 heads out of 12,700,000 heads, so this is around 0.059% of the total.”

This, he said, is why it would be prudent for the government to stop the importation of pork and pork products at this time.

The “aldenrichards02” Instagram handle of Alden Richards, the Kapuso star who scaled even greater heights when he paired with Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernado, now has over 3 million followers.

The big rise in Alden’s IG followers is credited to his highly successful flick with Kathryn, “Hello, Love, Goodbye”,which is poised to become the highest grossing Filipino movie ever before it ends its worldwide cinema run.

Alden’s Twitter account @aldenrichards02, meanwhile, still has more social media trackers with over 5.4 million followers.

Still, Alden was so grateful with the new milestone reached by his IG handle, that he quipped “3M na tayo…I don’t love you.”

This is the iconic line of Alden’s character (Ethan) in the movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye.” The context of this line in the movie, of course, was the opposite. One of Ethan’s actual lines was: “Kaso gusto kita eh, so sorry, I don’t love you.” Before saying this, Ethan told Joy (Kathryn’s character) that when he doesn’t like a girl, he would already tell her “I love you”, to make her leave instantly.

Alden and Kathryn’s movie already exceeded the P800-million revenue mark before the August 24-26 long weekend in the Philippines (counting the August 26 holiday).

It now only trails “The Hows of Us” starring Kathryn and real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla, which earned P915 million for its entire run, as the highest-grossing Philippine movie of all time.

With “Hello, Love, Goodbye” still being shown locally and internationally up to next month, it is now seen to become the first Filipino movie to hit the P1-billion mark in gross revenues.

Alden remains a contract star of GMA7, where he became a hit opposite Maine Mendoza for the “Eat Bulaga” pairing AlDub, which still has a cult following up to now. Alden’s next project with GMA7 is the primetime series “The Gift”, which is set to air in September.

Don’t be surprised if you are now seeing more of #ArMain than #AlDub.

This is because netizens are now clamoring for a movie that would feature ABS-CBN’s Arjo Atayde and GMA’s Maine Mendoza.

The two have been rumored to be in a relationship for a long time, and it was only recently that people are getting confirmation that they are really romantically involved.

While the fandoms of Maine and Alden Richards, the other half of AlDub, campaign on social media against any plan to pair the two in another movie via the #NoToALDUBMovie, netizens are now also saying this is the time for an #ArMaine flick.

It was Alden who first did a cross-over film with a Kapamilya star, when he paired up with Kathryn Bernardo for the blockbuster movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye”, which is poised to break the P1-billion revenue mark when it ends its run in cinemas. This will make “Hello, Love Goodbye” the highest-grossing flick in the Philippine movie industry.

The social media is populated with tweets about Arjo and Maine, as well as their photos and videos together. The networks also couldn’t avoid tracking and reporting updates on their relationship.

Maine is getting praises for being open about his relationship with Arjo, and how she managed to continue keeping and growing her fanbase despite the end of the AlDub era.

Kapamilya’s veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, Arjo’s mother, also commended Maine for acknowledging in public her relationship with Arjo.

Now, #ArMaine is one of the most-followed couples on social media, making a movie starring the two more compelling.
