Love team and real life couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla renewed their contracts with ABS-CBN on Wednesday afternoon (January 15), the network announced.

The two, known as KathNiel, both signed a fresh three-year exclusive contract with the network, according to ABS-CBN PR. Their contract signing was immediately hyped in social media, rising to the top trending Philippine topics on Twitter.

Among the upcoming projects of KathNiel with ABS-CBN is the TV series “Tanging Mahal”.

It is one of the new offerings that the Kapamilya network announced recently. Due for release this month are the teleserye “Make It With You” (January 13), the military drama “A Soldier’s Heart” (January 20), the zombie flick “Block Z” (January 29), and iWant’s “My Single Lady” (January 22).

Other TV programs lined up are “Love Thy Woman” (Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Yam Concepcion), “Kahit Minsan Lang” (Bea Alonzo and Richard Gutierrez), “Ligaya” (Ivana Alawi), “Heart to Heart” (Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber), “The Voice Teens” (new season) and “Everybody, Sing!” (Vice Ganda game show).

Daniel is also set to star in a movie to be produced by ABS-CBN titled “Kun Maupay Man It Panahon” with veteran actress and producer Charo Santos, who is also the CEO of the network.  ABS-CBN released its plans for 2020 amid uncertainty over the renewal of its congressional franchise, which is due to expire at the end of March.

President Duterte, who is still fuming mad over the decision of ABS-CBN not to air his campaign ads in the 2016 elections, is vocal in saying that he would do everything in his power to block the passage of the network’s franchise renewal. Several bills have been filed in Congress seeking the franchise’s extension for another 25 years, but none of them has moved thus far.

ABS-CBN PR released videos and photos of Kathryn and Daniel during the ceremonies for the signing of their respective three-year contract extensions with the network. This caused the hashtag #KathNiel2020 to trend on Twitter.

According to reports, many celebrities were stranded in airports due to the cancellation of flights brought about by the eruption of Taal Volcano last Sunday (January 12).

Raymond Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati, for instance, were already at the Hong Kong International Airport last Sunday when they were informed that flights to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) had been canceled.

The couple, who are now having their pre-wedding celebrations with friends and families, went back to the airport the following day and were again told that flights to Manila are still not allowed, as Taal Volcano remains on Alert Level 4, meaning an explosive eruption can happen within hours.

Singers Pilita Corrales, Jay-R and Claire dela Fuente, meanwhile, were supposed to board a plane to Manila from Cebu City when the announcement of the flight cancellations were made.

Reports said they will just take a ferry to Manila instead.

Actress Ruffa Mae Quinto narrated in her Instagram post that she and her family were also stranded in Hong Kong. They waited for several hours at the airport hoping things would normalize. “Kaya ako , simple na lang , ang important safe kaming family , kahit anong pag daanan,” she said. “[B]asta niyakap ko Anak ko … sabi ko basta kasama ko sya [at] healthy kami.”

Meanwhile, members of the Korean girl group Cherry Bullet were stranded at the NAIA. They were supposed to fly back to their country when authorities decided to cancel the flights.

A statement of the group’s handler FNC said: “We attended the 24th Asian Television Awards in Manila, Philippines on January 11 and 12, and a volcano erupted near Manila. The members and staff are safely staying at a hotel and watching the situation. They were scheduled to return to Korea on January 13, but due to the closure of the airport, they will return as soon as the situation is normalized. We sincerely hope that there will be no damage to local residents and fans. We will do our best to make sure that Cherry Bullet returns home safely.”

Will Sharon Cuneta’s appeal to ‘Tatay’ Digong help save ABS-CBN from impending closure?

Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who is known to be close to President Duterte, publicly asked the Chief Executive to reconsider his decision to block the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise, which will expire at the end of March 2020.

Sharon calls Duterte “My Tatay”. Duterte supported the candidacy of Sharon’s brother Cesar “Chet” Cuneta, who ran for Pasay City’s mayoral post in the May 2019 elections. Chet eventually lost to Imelda G. Calixto-Rubiano, who formerly represented the city in the Congress and sister of then-incumbent Mayor Antonio Calixto.

Duterte even joked during the celebration of 156th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio in Caloocan last November 30 that the Megastar wanted to throw her husband, Senator Francis Pangilinan, out of their house. The President was then angry at Pangilinan, who is a member of the rival Liberal Party.

After signing her contract renewal with ABS-CBN last January 9, the Megastar said: “I’ll just say this before saying goodbye—I pray that our dear President reconsiders his decision about ABS-CBN, not just because I just renewed [my contract with the studio, because] I can always find a job. But because everybody I grew up with here—who have remained loyal to the station and have grown up here having learned from the school of hard knocks and have become family and good friends—will lose almost everything they’ve built over the years, and even those that might choose to stay—if indeed, unfortunately goes that way—it won’t be the same.”

She continued: “So, I hope in my heart that our dear President reconsiders the thousands and thousands of Filipinos who have grown up here and learned the ropes here, and that includes me.”

The question now is: Will Sharon’s personal appeal to Duterte carry weight and help save ABS-CBN?

Right now, with all the hate that the President harbors against the network, it would probably take more than just Sharon’s plea. It’s barely 78 days before the deadline, and if Sharon’s appeal would just fall on deaf ears, the country’s biggest network could just be signing off indefinitely, or forever.

Actors Dingdong Dantes, Rocco Nacino, Lucho Ayala, Paul Salas, Prince Clemente and Jon Lucas underwent real-life military training in preparation for their roles in the Philippine remake of a 2016 South Korean TV series titled “Descendants of the Sun”.

The new Kapuso series is proving to be a tough challenge for these actors, based on the videos released to the public by GMA Network.

They went to Fort Magsaysay in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija to undergo Special Forces Training for several days. Dingdong said they were privileged to train in the midst of the new Special Forces recruits in the camp.

They ran for several miles in the mountains, crawled and rolled through long stretches of mud, carried logs, climbed walls of ropes and ran through obstacle courses. These were aside from the regular conditioning routines and exercises that trainees go through.

“Kailangan namin i-internalize ‘yan and physically maramdaman…iba pala talaga sya nung actual na naming ginagawa,” Dingdong, who will play the role of “Big Boss” Captain Lucas Manalo, said.

“Talagang nalampasan yung expectations ko dahil sobrang hirap pala talaga ng training ng ating mga military; sobrang pagod na pagod talaga physically and mentally,” Jon shared.

They also experienced living and sleeping in a makeshift tent that had zero convenience. Before they were allowed to go to sleep, they were made to exercise and sweat a lot.

They said their resolve was really tested, but the team did not quit. The original “Descendants of the Sun” starred Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, Jin Goo and Kim Ji-won and aired on KBS2 from February 24 to April 14, 2016 for 16 episodes plus three special episodes.

Information provided for the series said it is a love story between Captain Yoo Shi Jin, Korean Special Forces, and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon, surgeon at Haesung Hospital. Together they face danger in a war-torn country.

Radio talk show host Jobert Sucaldito gets flak for suicide joke versus Nadine Lustre

Radio talk show host Jobert Sucaldito gets flak for suicide joke versus Nadine Lustre

Netizens are urging Nadine Lustre to sue fellow Kapamilya talent and radio talk show host Jobert Sucaldito over his suicide joke against the actress.

In their DZMM program “Showbuzz”, Sucaldito made harsh comments against Nadine for her rebuttal of a column of Ricky Lo in the Philippine Star about her rumored separation with live-in partner James Reid, the other half of the JaDine star couple.

Sucaldito said he did not like how Nadine disputed the contents of Lo’s column. The DZMM host said Nadine has herself to blame for her reported breakup with James.

Sucaldito apparently made fan of Nadine when he commented: “Di ba ‘yun naman ang gusto nila? Kuno kuno may mga labas ang pwet, naka t-back pa doon sa building tapos may nakalagay na mga caption na parang gustong tumalon. Sana tumalon na lang, kung ganun lang din naman pala.”

This joke gave birth to the hashtag “#SuicideIsNotAJokeJobert”, where netizens countered with nasty comments.

@dklustre said: “Having a toxic, insensitive and entitled journalist like Jobert Sucaldito is such  a shame. U insulted someone (Nadine)  because of her mental illness and told her to jump off the building. Srsly, ang bobo mo. U just encouraged someone to commit suicide++”.

@tomflordeliza commented: “The year is 2020 and Nadine Lustre may be wearing her first suit when she finally decides to submit a libel case and sue Jobert Sucaldito’s whack ass. Now that’s an OOTD I can’t wait to see lmaoooo #SuicideIsNotAJokeJobert.”

This was seconded by @jethgregorgeous: “Remember Erik Santos and his management also filed a Libel case against him two years ago. Willie Revillame left ABS because of him. He embarassed Morissette in public  television. He also called Maymay Entrata “Ilusyonada”.”

Some of the netizens said Sucaldito’s suicide joke goes beyond Nadine, as it is an issue involving mental state that needs to be addressed seriously and should not be made a subject of a joke.

ABS-CBN News head Ging Reyes, in an official statement via Twitter, said: “We in ABS-CBN News take the issue of mental health very seriously. This was even the subject of a recent documentary that was produced. We are investigating reports that DZMM host Jobert Sucaldito uttered inappropriate and insensitive comments regarding actress Nadine Lustre’s state of mental health. Our journalists and other members of our team are accountable for their on-air statements.”

As of 3 p.m. on Wednesday (January 8), the hashtag #SuicideIsNotAJokeJobert already had over 134,000 tweets.

Keep ‘em comin! Dingdong Dantes not offended by memes making fun of his name, picks his favorite

By posting his favorite “Dingdong Dantes memes” thus far, it appears that the Kapuso actor is even urging netizens to keep those witty tweets—with funny puns using his name and accompanying equally hilarious photos—coming.

Dingdong posted in his @dingdongdantes Twitter account what he thinks as the best meme. He captioned it with: “And the winner is …. Dingdong DoneTest!” with smiley faces. The meme, created by netizen David Carlo Lucenara, showed a photo of several people taking an exam, with the half-naked Dingdong raising his test paper already to indicate he has finished the exam while the others are still in the middle of it.

The witty memes have put “Dingdong Dantes” on top of the Trending in Philippines topics on Twitter with almost 11,000 tweets already as of noon on Tuesday (January 7). Netizens continue to tweet about Dingdong and share their own creative memes.

One funny meme had Dingdong wearing a shirt bearing the label of a popular Filipino snack “Dingdong”. In one photo, the face of Dingdong was superimposed on a picture of priest and was captioned “Dingdong Godbless”. Dingdong was also shown pushing a doorbell button and captioned “Dingdong”.

Other plays of Dingdong’s names with accompanying photos were: Dingdong Mic Test, DIngdong Dance Steps and Dingdong Dantes Peak.

Some netizens also used other celebrities in their memes and posted them on the Dingdong Dantes thread. Dingdong’s wife Marian Rivera, for instance, was not spared. Her memes included “Bavarian Rivera”, with her face on a bavarian doughnut, and Barbarian Rivera.

Veteran actress Susan Roces meme was “SUS N’ ROSES”. Singer Morissette Amon was placed on top of a Filipino chiffon cake and captioned “Morissette Mamon”.

If you find people laughing while looking at their mobile phones or computers today, it is probably because they have stumbled upon another one of those Dingdong Dantes memes.

It seems Nadine Lustre and James Reid are just letting JaDine fans do the talking for now regarding their rumored breakup.

It’s been several days already since a report claimed the two, who were openly saying they are living together, have gone on separate ways “due to irreconcilable differences”.

I can't be who you want.

A post shared by NL (@nadine) on

Up to now, however, there is still no official word from both camps. Nadine and James have not even posted on their social media accounts anything about their relationship. The only time one of them mentioned the other was in a New Year’s Eve celebration interview of James with ABS-CBN News.

In that interview, James said Nadine is among the contract artists of his music label Careless and that they’ll “be all together later, celebrating and counting down over in Makati.”

But JaDine fans wouldn’t have any of it. They stormed the social media and posted pictures of the two together to dispute the report of that James and Nadine have already ended their relationship.

The report cited a source who said claimed Nadine has left Reid’s home. It also said this is why the two have not shared a photo of each other on social media since October.

It even cited a recent Instagram post of Nadine where she captioned a black-and-white photo of her with: “For good reason, lost all of my love.” In another post, Nadine said: “I can’t be who you want.”

As to why Nadine and James have not said a word about the issue up to now remains a mystery. Of course, JaDine fans are saying that this breakup report is nothing but fake news.

Comedian and TV host Willie Revillame announced that the management of GMA 7 has given his game show “Wowowin” another day of airing, and a primetime slot at that.

In the January 1, 2020 edition of “Wowowin”, Revillame said the program will also be aired on a Saturday to be called “Wowowin Primetime” starting at 7 p.m.

“Madagdagan tayo ng isang araw…Ang tawag dyan ‘Wowowin Primetime’. Yung hindi po nakakapanood ng ‘Wowowin’ sa araw araw, sana naman may isang araw masilayan nyo ang ‘Wowowin’ para mapasaya namin kayo,” Kuya Willie said.

The program currently airs from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. The show started on May 10, 2015. Willie’s programs used to air on the rival network ABS-CBN, where he gained more prominence, particularly with the “Pera o Bayong” game.

The comedian thanked the GMA 7 family for the trust in extending the show to six days a week. ‘Wowowin’ is known for giving away prizes to game participants coming from all walks of life, including overseas Filipino workers and balikbayans, drivers, housewives, teachers, vendors, garbage collectors, and even politicians. Kuya Willie’s famous quote today is “Bigyan ng jacket”, which he usually says when he likes a contestant or studio audience.

To allow his loyal followers to interact better with him, Revillame said he ordered the construction of a stage that is comparable to those in Las Vegas hotels.

“Itong entablado na ito hindi kami nakalayo sa inyo; lagi kaming malapit sa inyo. Mag-aabot ng mga regalo, pagbibigay ng jacket. Hindi ako nakalayo sa inyo. Ako ang nag-isip ng stage na ito,” he said.

Aga Muhlach’s ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’ could dislodge Vice Ganda’s movie as MMFF 2019 top grosser

The Philippine remake of Korean hit movie “Miracle in Cell No. 7” is seen to become the top grosser in the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Although snubbed by judges in the MMFF Awards, the movie top-billed by Aga Muhlach is reportedly gaining interest from moviegoers, prompting more theaters to include it in their screening for the festival’s final days.

With this, experts are saying “Miracle in Cell No. 7” could overtake Vice Ganda’s “The Mall, the Merrier”, which took the top spot in the initial days of the MMFF, according to reports.

The MMFF organizers have refused to disclose figures up to now to avoid the bandwagon effect. MMFF officials, however, said initial results could be announced any day now. The official run of the festival is up to January 8.

Eight films are being featured in different cinemas for the 2019 MMFF. Becoming the top grosser would be a huge feat for Aga and the people behind the local remake of “Miracle in Cell No. 7”, as this year’s roster of movies are being top-billed by actors who also ruled the previous editions of the MMFF.

The movie of Coco Martin and Ai Ai Delas Alas, both mainstays and previous top grossers of the annual MMFF, titled “3Pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon” is reportedly in third place only, while Bossing Vic Sotto’s “Mission Ustapabol: The Don Identity” is languishing in fourth place.

While dominating the MMFF 2019 Awards (including Best Picture, Best Actor for Allen Dizon, Best Actress for Judy Ann Santos, and Best Child Performer for Yuna Tangog), “Mindanao” is still reportedly not attracting enough moviegoers to catapult it to the Top 5.

Aga Muhlach was earlier considered as the favorite to win the Best Actor plum for his portrayal of the mentally challenged main character in “Miracle in Cell No. 7”. The MMFF jurors, however, snubbed the movie reportedly because it is only a remake of a foreign film.

Ironically, Vice Ganda’s movie also failed to win any award, probably marking the first time the Top 2 movies in terms of receipts failed to win a trophy.

Will Kobe Paras follow in his father’s footsteps and become an actor-baller as well?

People, especially those belonging to the so-called Generation Z, couldn’t get enough of University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroon Kobe Paras, that the clamor for him to enter show business continues to grow by the day.

Although he failed to carry his team to the finals of the just concluded UAAP Season 82 won by Ateneo de Manila University, his popularity continues to rise, and his name is not only landing almost every day on sports pages but in the showbiz/entertainment section as well.

Reports said Kobe was offered a juicy deal by ABS-CBN to appear in a movie as a leading man. Some even said the plan was for him to be paired with “crush ng bayan” Liza Soberano. But Kobe doesn’t seem to be interested in being a part-time actor. Up to now, the lure of the showbiz spotlight has not attracted Kobe.

As everyone knows already, Kobe is a son of Benjie Paras, one of the best basketball players ever produced by UP. Benjie led UP to a UAAP championship. When he went to the PBA, he became the first Rookie of the Year – Most Valuable Player awardee in the same year. He then also starred in several movies and TV shows as a comedian.

Kobe is well on his way to following in the footsteps of his father. He is now in the Mythical Five of the UAAP. His next target is to enter the PBA. Who knows, maybe after that or in the midst of playing professional basketball, he might also become an actor.

Kobe now has a horde of fans, owing to his great basketball skills and superb looks. This is why he has a following from across sexes. And this is also why showbiz producers see him as a bankable talent. He is a good mix of Benjie and mother Jackie Forster, also a former showbiz personality. His brother Andre has starred in several movies already.

For now, however, Kobe doesn’t want any distraction, opting to focus solely on his basketball career. Well, let’s wait and see.

GMA 7 being pressured by netizens to drop guesting of Sen. Revilla in Alden’s ‘The Gift’

in Entertainment/Tabloid PH Showbiz

The clamor from fans to stop the guesting of Senator Bong Revilla in Alden Richards’ primetime TV series “The Gift” continues to gather steam. But, of course, there are opinions to the contrary, and the pressure is now on the Kapuso Network to decide if it would push through with the plan.

The hashtag #NoToBongRevillaOnTheGift was filled with negative sentiments from netizens on the senator’s appearance in “The Gift”. Many are saying that this would tarnish the image of Alden and the series, as Revilla just figured in a plunder case.

A tweet by @marcinareus02 said: “Taking a political, and more importantly a moral stand. It’s not enough that he was not made to pay for his plundering, but to use the show to improve his image. Isn’t a corrupt politician one of Sep’s oppressors?” Sep is the character being played by Alden in the GMA 7 series, which just entered its second month of airing.

Even veteran talk show host, columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis is being bashed for pushing the addition of Revilla in the cast of “The Gift”.

The talent manager, in her column in the Pilipino Star Ngayon published on Friday (November 15), discredited the attack against Revilla, saying those who oppose his guesting in “The Gift” are not really fans of Alden. She also said Revilla’s appearance in the series is a show of gratitude for what the senator did in the past to help jumpstart the career of Alden.

“Alam ng mga tunay na nagmamahal kay Alden kung paano ito inalagaan ni Bong noong bago pa lang siya sa showbiz. Nakasama ni Bong si Alden sa kanyang television show at pelikula noon. Madalas purihin ni Bong ang pagiging matiyaga at masipag ni Alden. Lagi rin niyang sinasabi noon na malayo ang mararating ni Alden at nangyari na nga ito,” Solis said.

But the netizens wouldn’t have any of this. @sisaisagani said in her tweet: “Who will believe the scam queen? … take it, take it … ang daling makalimot ng pinoy kaya madaling mauto #NoToBongRevillaOnTheGift.” @sisaisagani was alluding to the manipulation of the results of the Best Actor and Best Actress awards in the 1994 Metro Manila Film Festival involving Solis.

@jeannieDV commented:  “Believe it Ms. Lolit! The #NoToBongRevillaOnTheGift ht was from us, legit fans of #ALDENRichards who are not fence-sitters. We take a stand!

And it’s a legit call to @gmanetwork to please sit & discuss what you’re planning to do. Not just for TheGift but for that show for kids!”

Veteran actor Aga Muhlach is emerging as the favorite to win the best actor award in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival  (MMFF) for his portrayal of the mentally challenged father in the Philippine remake of Korean hit movie “Miracle in Cell No. 7”.

Viva Films released last November 12 a two-and-a-half minute teaser of the film, and immediately, experts are saying that Aga gave justice to the role originally played by Ryu Seung-ryong, who made many people cry in the original movie shown in 2013.

The teaser’s Youtube views already exceeded 1.56 million with over 7,700 comments as of November 14, making it also one of the most anticipated MMFF entries.

A comment by netizen Cybo D Rees said: “This is just a remake but this still can make me feel the goosebumps I felt last time.”

Even Broadway great Leah Salonga was reported to have cried after watching some of her friend’s scenes in the teaser.

Aga plays the lead role Joselito, while Xia Vigor portrays his daughter, young daughter Yesha. Bella Padilla plays the role of the grown up Yesha.

Portraying the roles of Joselito’s cellmates are Joel Torre, JC Santos, Mon Confiado, Jojit Lorenzo and Soliman Cruz.

Quiboloy accepts Vice’s challenge, will not just stop ‘Ang Probinsyano’ but operation of ABS-CBN as well

Quiboloy accept’s Vice’s challenge, will not just stop ‘Ang Probinsyano’ but operation of ABS-CBN as well

Kapamilya Vice Ganda’s challenge to Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to put a halt to the airing of ABS-CBN’s primetime hit “Ang Probinsyano”— just like how the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name claimed to have ordered the earthquakes in Davao to stop—has been accepted.

And based on the answer of Quiboloy, it appears that he won’t be needing heaven’s help, but that of Malacanang.

“The challenge is accepted,” Quiboloy said, referring to what Vice said in an episode of “It’s Showtime” last November 5 that he should also stop the airing of “Ang Probinsyano” starring Coco Martin, as well as the traffic in Edsa. Vice, in that episode, said: “Ipahinto mo na ang ‘Probinsyano’. Napahinto mo pala ang lindol eh. Napakayabang niyo pala, eh..Sabi niya raw, stop. Sige nga! Punta ka ng gitna ng EDSA, stop mo ‘yung traffic du’n!”

Quiboloy, in accepting Vice’s challenge, said: “Kailan mo ba gustong mapa-stop ang ‘Ang Probinsyano’? Isang buwan? Dalawang buwan? Tatlong buwan? Apat na buwan? Ikaw, pili ka.”

Then he continued with a political overtone, dragging the feud between President Duterte and the ABS-CBN management: “Baka sa apat na buwan, hindi lang yung ‘Probinsyano’ ang mai-stop, baka pati yung network mo stop na ‘yan.”

Quiboloy is a known big supporter and ally of Duterte, with his religious group based in Davao City. Duterte has threatened to block the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise, which is set to expire in March 2020. Without the franchise, ABS-CBN’s operation will cease. The President and his allies in Congress keep on reminding ABS-CBN of their disgust over the decision of the network not to air Duterte’s commercials during the 2016 elections campaign period even if they were paid already.

True enough, the House of Representatives has not acted on the 25-year renewal of the network’s franchise.

As to the Edsa traffic, Quiboloy told Vice: “Sinabi mo na pahintuin ko ang traffic sa EDSA, paano ko pahihintuin, nahinto na!…Naging parking lot na nga ang EDSA, e, nakahinto na.Hindi siguro yun ang right word na sinabi mo. Pabilisin.”

Kapamilya’s Vice Ganda was not only scolded, but was also threatened, on air by a broadcaster who claims to be a friend of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

This was over Vice’s “It’s Showtime” comments against the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name, a religious organization based in Davao City.

In an episode of “It’s Showtime”, Vice made these comments, which drew laughter from the audience and fellow hosts: “Ipahinto mo na ang ‘Probinsyano’. Napahinto mo pala ang lindol eh. Napakayabang niyo pala, eh..Sabi niya raw, stop. Sige nga! Punta ka ng gitna ng EDSA, stop mo ‘yung traffic du’n!” Vice was reacting to a video of Quiboloy where the pastor said he made the recent twin earthquakes in Davao stop just by saying: “Stop!”

Mike Abe, in his program aired over Quiboloy’s radio station DZAR, said he was hurt by the comments of Vice and how they made fun of the pastor, who is a known supporter of President Duterte and other politicians like former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Abe warned Vice that he should be careful because he might just cross paths with some of Quiboloy’s claimed 7 million followers. “Sana ‘di ‘yan masalubong ng mga taong nagagalit sa kanya, baka may paglagyan ‘yang mamang ‘yan! Mama naman ‘yan e! ‘Di naman babae ‘yan e! Huwag niyong iinsultuhin ang Pastor dahil ‘di niyo kilala nang personal ‘yan!”

Abe added: “Di ko naman maintindihan kung paano naging Ganda ‘yun? Baka siguro Vice lang? Vice Gay! Oh bahala na kayo. Pero Vice Ganda, ‘di naman maganda eh! Lalo na ‘yung sinabi!”

Abe also urged the ABS-CBN management and the Movies and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to take action against Vice. “Hindi lahat ng klase ng patawa ay nakakatuwa, may mga nakakatawang nang iinsulto kayo!”
