The Department of Transportation ( DOTr) reports that Cotabato Airport has resumed flight operations on a few bases after partially completing its runway repair work. The Department of Public Works and Highways announced past August 17 that its company had only half finished the cement layer work. The DOTr stated in a statement that confined flight operations at the airport resumed on Saturday morning from 7:00 am to 11:59 am. The common area of Cotabato City and municipalities close to Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao, are served by various areas of the airport, and repairs may be made there until they are completely finished.
