MANILA, Philippines — Senator Panfilo Lacson on Friday applauded Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. over the latter’s plan to recommend ending government contracts with Chinese firms involved in island-building in the South China Sea.

“Kudos to DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin for putting the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman in his place.
