LUCENA CITY —- Police arrested two suspected peddlers of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate operations here early Friday.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Edmar de Castro, 29, after he sold a pack of meth to an undercover police officer in a drug transaction in Barangay Ibabang Iyam around 7:45 a.m.

The suspect, tagged by the police as a rookie in the illegal drug trade, yielded seven plastic sachets of shabu.

Earlier, police also arrested Louie De Vera, 33, in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Market View at 6 a.m.
