NTC extends validity of permits for telcos, broadcast permits until end-December

MANILA, Philippines — The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has extended the validity of all existing permits, certificates and licenses of telecommunication and broadcasting companies until the end of December.

In a memorandum issued July 29, it read that the extension of permits was due to “mobility limitation issues in many regions around the country” due to lockdown restrictions.

“All existing certificates, permits and licenses, to operate radio communications equipment, networks and facilities, public (telecom), broadcast, government or private, in various radio services, expiring in the current year shall remain valid and may be renewed on or before the last work…
