MANILA, Philippines—Interior Secretary Eduardo Ao said Friday that it will now take less than a month for telecommunications companies to secure their permits to build their cell towers.
The Department of Interior and Local Government, Anti-Red Tape Authority, and other corresponding agencies issued a joint memorandum circular (JMC) that will streamline the documentary requirements and processing time for the building permits of the telecommunication towers.
Ao said that this was done following President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive to improve the digital infrastructure in the country.
