MANILA, Philippines — Two more Filipinos overseas has contracted COVID-19, a respiratory ailment caused by SARS-CoV-2, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) disclosed Saturday.
For this, the total number of Filipinos abroad infected by the disease already reached8,629, DFA added.
Of the sum, 2,866 patients are in health centers and hospitals undergoing treatment, the agency explained.
DFA through its foreign posts also reported two new deaths from the Middle East, increasing total fatalities among COVID-19 positive Filipinos abroad to 563.
