Families of 13 COVID-19 frontliners receive death benefits

The Department of Health (DOH) said that 13 families of healthcare workers who died while combating the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak in the country have already received their monetary benefit worth P1 million each.

“Kagabi ang unang death benefit cheque ay inabot nila Health Undersecretaries Gerardo Bayugo and Roger Tong-An sa mga naulila ng isa sa ating mga healthcare worker heroes [Last night, the first death benefit cheque was given by Health Undersecretaries Gerardo Bayugo and Roger Tong-An to the bereaved relatives of one of our healthcare worker heroes],” said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire in a press briefing on Friday afternoon.
