Former DFA secretary del Rosario agrees with the suspension of VFA

Former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario on Wednesday, June 3, congratulated the Duterte administration for suspending the abrogation of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) between the Philippines and the United States.

Del Rosario, who also served as Philippine ambassador to Washington, D.C., described the announcement of the suspension on Tuesday as a “good day.”

“Congratulations to the President, to the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) and to the DOD (Department of Defense),” Del Rosario said in a message sent to reporters.
