DSWD welcomes Congress’ pro-poor measures during COVID

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) welcomed Congress’ move to push for measures that will provide continued social amelioration subsidy to low-income families and poorest of the poor under the new normal situation.

DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista cited the lawmakers’ efforts to push for the extension of the government’s social amelioration programs to look after the welfare of the country’s poor households.

“Actually maraming legislators ang nanghihingi ng inputs, relatively dito sa ayuda, siguro social amelioration din or whatever term na gagamitin nila.
