UPLB appeals for assistance in behalf of stranded students

The University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) appealed to the public on Thursday for financial or in-kind donations for students stranded in the university-administered and off-campus housing facilities under the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

“Our students still need your help. We are appealing to everyone to help us sustain the initiative to assist our students stranded in their dormitories at UPLB and in private dormitory facilities in Los Baños and Bay, Laguna,” the university said in a Facebook post.

As of Thursday, UPLB said they provided two meals a day to 1,505 stranded students.

“We would like to sustain these efforts. We appeal for your generosity and compassion for others in these extraordinary and trying times,”
