DOLE releases P5.5 million to workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has already released some P5.5 million in financial assistance to workers in the formal sector in the National Capital Region (NCR) who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have processed the release of funds amounting  P5,504,250 as financial support. The CAMP (COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program) beneficiaries have received their individual assistance worth P5,000 through a money remittance scheme,” DOLE-NCR Regional Director Sarah Buena S. Mirasol said in a statement.

An estimated 1,074 workers in the formal sector have already benefited from the P5,000 cash grant of the government.

According to DOLE-NCR, it has already received 46,213 CAMP applications submitted
