Laguna coronavirus cases soar to 15

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 15 Laguna province residents have so far tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the provincial government said Thursday.

As of 7 a.m. Thursday, cases were confirmed in the cities of Sta. Rosa, Bian, San Pedro, Cabuyao, Calamba, Los Baos, and Lumban, according to Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez.

A total of 506 patients are under investigation for the disease (PUIs), while 6,716 patients are now being monitored (PUMs).

No deaths have been recorded so far, the provincial government said.
