406 French tourists able to leave Manila for Paris

The Government of France has successfully extricated and brought home 406 French tourists who were stranded in different parts of the Philippines due to the lockdown and imposition of travel restrictions amid the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country.

In a statement, the French Embassy in Manila thanked the various Philippine government agencies and local government units who assisted them in locating and transporting the French nationals from various tourist destinations in the Philippines to Mactan, Cebu then to Manila en route to Paris on March 24 and 25.
