Papal Nuncio gets ‘jeepney’ gift from Catholic prelates

Outgoing Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Gabriele Caccia received a miniature jeepney from Catholic prelates on Wednesday as a farewell gift.

Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines President Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles gave the small token to Caccia during their farewell dinner for the latter at the Arzobispado de Manila in Intramuros.

The Manila Cathedral shared the photo of a smiling Caccia while looking at the gift on its Facebook page.

Pope Francis recently assigned Caccia as Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations.

The nuncio also earned praise from Catholic prelates.
