Gov’t backs efforts to raise PH’s quality of education

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said the Duterte administration is 100 percent supportive of the Department of Education’s (DepEd) new initiative to raise the quality of basic education in the country, saying the Chief Executive recognizes that education is one of the keys to improving the lives of our countrymen.

Nograles made the statement after the DepEd launched Sulong EduKalidad or Sama-samang Pagsulong ng EduKalidad (National Effort for Quality Basic Education) program on Tuesday.

In a statement, the former lawmaker pointed out that government investment in education has yielded positive returns, particularly in increasing access to basic education.
