Go says he’s open to lifting martial law in Mindanao

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said he is open to lifting martial law in Mindanao but will wait the recommendation of law enforcement authorities on the matter.

Go said he was waiting for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to provide inputs regarding the proposal to lift martial law.

“Kung hindi na talaga kailangan ngayon, sabi ng PNP, AFP, will also recommend or should have recommended already,” Go said in a recent interview.

According to Go, he is now working with authorities to determine whether it is appropriate to lift martial law in the region. He said
