Congressmen mobilized to tackle killings of judges

Leaders of the House of Representatives followed up on Sunday the proposed House probe on the spate of killings of judges in various cities and provinces.

Cagayan de Oro Rep.  Rufus Rodriguez and Surigao del Norte Rep.  Robert Ace Barbers threw all-out support to House Resolution No. 519, filed by Leyte Rep.  Vicente “Ching” Veloso,  which urges the House Committee on Justice to look into the supposed culture of violence, this time victimizing the judiciary.

“I support the congressional investigation in aid of legislation,”  Rodriguez, chairman of the House Committee on Constitutional Amendments,  said in an interview.
