Welder dead in Quezon construction accident

LUCENA CITY — A 49-year-old welder died while working in a construction site in Real town in Quezon province on Friday.

A police report identified the victim as Edgar Cielo, a worker in the construction of the new fish port located in Barangay Ungos.

The police said a concrete pile fell down and hit the victim while attending to his tasks in one part of the work site around 4:30 p.m.

Cielo was taken to Claro M. Recto Memorial Hospital in the nearby town of Infanta. He later died while being treated….
