Robredo to meet with CBCP to help in anti-drug campaign

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo, who was designated as country’s anti-drug czar, said she will have a meeting with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) to work on anti-illegal drug drive.
 
Robredo cited that the meeting will focus on activating the organization, Ugnayan ng Barangay at Simbahan, a venue that harnesses partnership of barangays (villages) and other religious organizations.
 
“At ngayon, iyong mga may active na UBAS, ang ganda ng anti-illegal drugs campaign nila. So tinitingnan namin na doon kami papasok,” Robredo told reporters in Bula, Camarines Sur on Saturday.
