More than half a million pesos worth of shabu were seized from an illegal drug peddler in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Friday afternoon.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulus Gadaoni, commander of Quezon City Police District’s Batasan Police Station (PS-6), identified the arrested suspect as Eugene Baltazar, 29, a resident of Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City.

The initial probe from PS-6 showed that Baltazar was involved in big-time drug-selling activities operating in Metro Manila.

After monitoring, personnel of PS-6 Drug Enforcement Unit set a drug bust against the suspect in front of a fast food restaurant on the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Tandang Sora Extension in Barangay Matandang Balara at about 3 p.m. on Friday.
