4.3 -magnitude quake hits Bukidnon

BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Bukidnon Province Saturday morning, Nov. 16, 2019, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.


In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, was plotted only 8 kilometers (km) away northwest of Kadingilan, Bukidnon and occurred at 9:36 a.m.

The tremor had a shallow depth of only 9 km.

Intensity III was also registered in Davao City while Intensity II was in Kidapawan City and its Instrumental Intensity: Intensity II – Cagayan de Oro City and Intensity I – Kidapawan City, the state agency said.

No aftershocks and damage were expected from the tremor, Phivolcs added.
